The Challenge
In Wanaka's burgeoning tourism industry, the challenge isn't to sell visitor accommodation - it's to be one of the ones selling it! Wanaka Holiday House's website and booking systems were showing their age and they were beginning to fall behind their competitors. The challenge was to make positive change to this situation.
What We Did
Firstly, our project manager consulted closely with WHH to determine exactly what they offered their guests, how they would service enquiries and bookings, their positioning in the market and look and feel they had in mind for their website. We design team produced 3 options for WHH, one of which stood out for them and which we were able to develop quickly into the final site.
We used high quality imagery of the amenity and experiences on offer around the region, in acknowledgement that WHH offers not just rooms - they offer holiday experiences that will last a lifetime!
We worked with and guided WHH on the integration of their preferred booking systems and made sure the site was fully search optimised. The site was delivered on time and on budget.
What We Achieved
As well as looking fab online, Wanaka Holiday Houses now experiences a good flow of pre-season bookings, allowing them to plan their resources - e.g. maintenance, linen, cleaning, etc. - well in advance. Those awkward little gaps between bookings have now been minimised due to the ability to manage bookings well in advance of each season, filling the books. Time for a pinot noir...
